Terms of use

Updated October 9, 2026

These terms apply to your use of u-sim’s website and simulation services that link to them. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can be sent to admin@u-sim.org.

Access and service plans

You must be at least 18 and use your own account. Available features, usage allowances, and access periods depend on your plan, invitation, or organization’s arrangement with u-sim. Check Plans & usage and any terms presented when you obtain access. An organization may manage access to its workspaces and learning activities.

Any price, billing period, renewal, and cancellation conditions for a paid offering will be presented before you purchase it. A free invitation alone does not authorize a charge. Separate purchase or organization agreements may also apply to the services they cover.

We may change features or suspend or end access for misuse, security, operational needs, or when an agreed access period ends. Ending access does not automatically delete your saved work. Export work you need while access is active, or contact us for data assistance.

Educational use only

u-sim provides fictional educational simulations. It is not medical advice, a clinical decision-support service, an emergency service, or a patient record system. Do not use it to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about a real patient.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. Scenario checks establish supported structure and execution, not clinical correctness. An educator should review and adapt content before teaching. Simulated vital changes are authored behavior, not predictions of an individual patient’s physiology. Feedback and scores describe activity within a simulation and do not certify competence or replace professional assessment.

Your account and acceptable use

Keep sign-in credentials private and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Provide accurate account information. Use fictional cases only; do not upload identifiable patient data, confidential records, unlawful material, or content you lack permission to use. Do not harass others, impersonate people, bypass access or usage controls, probe other users’ private data, or interfere with the service. Report a security concern privately to admin@u-sim.org.

Your content and AI

You retain your rights in content you provide. You authorize u-sim and its service providers to store, process, reproduce, and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, including AI assistance, saved history, and publication when you choose it. This is not a transfer of ownership. AI output may not be unique and its accuracy or eligibility for intellectual-property protection is not guaranteed.

Only publish material you have permission to share. Respect the applicable licenses, attribution requirements, and third-party rights in scenarios and assets. Publication makes the included content available to other signed-in users; unpublishing does not recall copies they already acquired. These terms do not remove restrictions in third-party licenses or grant you rights the content owner has not provided.

Data and communications

The Privacy notice explains account data, AI processing, voice, sharing, and deletion. We may send essential messages about access, security, and material service changes. Optional account communications follow your settings. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve u-sim without an obligation to implement it or compensate you.

Availability and responsibility

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free results, permanent access, or suitability for a particular teaching or clinical purpose. Keep an exported copy of work you need.

To the extent permitted by law, u-sim is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or opportunities, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service changes. The updated date identifies the current version; material changes will receive appropriate notice. You can stop using the service and request deletion at any time. For access, content, privacy, or other concerns, contact admin@u-sim.org.
